CM enabled works to commence on-site as soon as planning permission had been obtained before the substructure and superstructure design had been finalised negating the need for costly and time consuming design development, tendering and contract negotiations. CM provided an enhanced ability to incorporate change into the design through a less adversarial, problem solving project culture. It also allowed for the involvement of specialist trade contractors in design and construction and accelerated the overall project programme.
